Horsham Junior Section

We welcome all children from age 5 to 18, from beginners to regular hockey players, with qualified coaches and managers in place to ensure your child gets the most out of their hockey experience with us.

Our main site is at Christ’s Hospital School (CH) where we have a double astro for training and matches. U8-U16 age groups train on Sundays.

If you are interested in booking in a trial session please complete the junior contact form with your children's information and we will be in touch.

What to Expect

Throughout the season (September-March), as well as training there is also the opportunity for children to take part in festivals and friendly games for the younger age groups, with league games and England Hockey Tier matches for the older age groups.

Children from school years 7-11 are also invited to train and play with our Sussex Development League squads, known as the “Hots”. We have the Hotstars for girls, and Hotshots and Hotsticks for boys. Training is mid-week, and matches are on Saturdays. Please read the Hots development section on the website lower down for further details.

New this year are some exciting coaching add-ons (at no extra cost) for all age groups - specific hockey skills camps and masterclass sessions are on the calendar, with coaching from International and 1st team club players to help all the players improve their game

Teamo App

When you join HHC, you will need to sign up to our team management app Teamo. You will need to create a profile for your children, and you in turn have a profile which is linked to them as their parent/guardian.

All communication about training and any matches is done via Teamo. You must also pay your sub and any match fees via Teamo.

Junior Club Kit

Our Junior kit is supplied by Fuel, who are based in Lancing and the same kit used in the adult section and throughout the club for matches.

Our club colours are White and Black, with Red shirts for when we clash with other teams who are also in White. For matches you must wear club kit, but for training you can wear anything you like.

You will need to wear a gum shield at all times, dedicated Astroturf trainers which do not have metal studs (no football boots) and you should wear shin guards on your legs.

For new starters, we have some spare kit that we can lend you including sticks and goal keeping kit.
